Cherry Blossom

I love to see before and after pictures. Don’t you? So I thought it’d be fun to show one to get this category started. I love the magic of Photoshop. The change in this photograph wasn’t great but it did improve the image some and I believe that it captured the flower’s essence better. Here is the before image SOOC

Here it is after it’s been tweaked a little.

The change seems subtle though the effect is nicer and stronger when viewed elsewhere. Here’s what’s neat about this particular look. It can be achieved without Photoshop or Elements. I used the trial version of Pictocolor CorrectPhoto 3.0. It sells for around $40.00 though it was offered to me for $30.00. You don’t even need to have photo editing software. It lets you crop, color correct with one click and enhance, remove red eye, sharpen, file in a to print folder, and lets you send the pictures online for processing. All in a matter of seconds. That alone wouldn’t cause me to go out and buy it since I already own Elements and love it. But here’s the catch. The photos looked A LOT better using their one click technology than they did when I spent several minutes working on them in Elements. Not to mention that I already owned one of their plug-ins for portrait work (and much more expensive) and used it all of the time. This plug-in works even better for a lot less $$. I was shocked! CorrectPhoto is great for quickly fixing a lot of photos that aren’t necessarily stars like birthday photos etc. I tend to procrastinate uploading photos for processing because of all the work that it takes to fix a batch of images. This solves that problem. Well worth the price. Go out and buy it and tell me if you don’t agree. This is not a paid advertisement though I wish it were. HoHum.
